Each country has experienced “interesting times” in its history. After World War II Poland started to be a communist country. Until 1989 Warsaw was rebuilt in many parts in a completely different way. The streets were broadened, prepared for the red parades, squares were organized for mass meetings, and huge buildings were built as symbols of the new order. What has survived from the communist era until today? Walk with us along the biggest Warsaw arteries, visit the old party offices and the censorship division, go to the Palace of Culture and eat lunch at a milk bar. In the meantime you can drop in to the most fashionable pubs in Warsaw. Because the city center is bustling. It is worth a visit not only because of the interesting stories enchanted in the old walls.
